618 represents the Southern Illinois area code! It is celebrated on June 18th.

Much like St. Louis and 314 day (celebrated March 14th), 618 Day is a day meant to celebrate Southern Illinois and it’s businesses, people, and nature.

Participating is easy!

A few ideas: offering a small discount (6.18% or $6.18) or special sale, hosting a vendor fair of Southern Illinois artists or creators, raffles with gift baskets of Southern Illinois-made products, block parties.
