…to Equality Hill House
This past Saturday, we were invited to a hosted stay at Equality Hill House, a fabulous rental located in Southeastern Illinois.
When we arrived to the house, we were pleasantly surprised how quiet and secluded the area felt.
Opening the front door, we were greeted with aesthetically pleasing and comfortable furnishings and design. Upon our walkthrough, we were delighted to find gorgeous showers, comfortable beds, and large televisions. The kitchen was well stocked, and the house even offered a washer and dryer.
We used the house as a little crash pad in between our adventures; within a 30-45 minute radius we had access to Garden of the Gods, Cave-in-Rock, The Red Onion, Herod Historic Cave, and other natural sites. It was nice to have a comforting space to come back to for diaper changes, to escape the rain, and to just plain relax.
Everyone recommended the Red Onion, located just 4 minutes away for lunch - and with good reason! Our meals were so delicious, we cleared the plates and couldn’t stop talking about it! You must get the potato salad as a side; it’s incredible!
Overall, we loved the comfort, style, and sense of relaxation we found at Equality Hill House. We were inspired to explore the surrounding communities and nature despite the weather, and are so grateful to have these kinds of accommodations in Southern Illinois.
